Russia is tightening its control over pine nut harvesting and exports by implementing an export duty on in-shell pine nuts starting August 1, 2024.
The duty will initially be set at 25% or a minimum of €80 per ton, increasing to 50% or €160 per ton by August 2025. This measure aims to promote domestic processing and reduce unprocessed exports, ensuring that more value is added within the country.
