The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) has established a special fund to support efforts by Caribbean nations to increase local food production and strengthen the resilience of their agricultural sectors.
[1][2][3][4][5] The fund aims to help the Caribbean reduce its reliance on food imports and improve food and nutrition security in the region. IICA is collaborating with Caribbean governments and stakeholders to implement initiatives that boost agricultural productivity, promote sustainable farming practices, and build the capacity of local farmers and agribusinesses.
