Dutch and French LNG import terminals remained the top destinations for US liquefied natural gas supplies in recent months, according to the Department of Energy's data.[1][2][3][4][5] In March 2024, the US exported 60.6 Bcf of LNG to France and 57.2 Bcf to the Netherlands, accounting for over 50% of total US LNG exports that month.

The Netherlands was the top destination for US LNG in the first quarter of 2024, receiving 144.5 Bcf or 43 cargoes, a 6% increase compared to the previous year.[2] This trend highlights the continued importance of the European market for US LNG exports.
