Asian onion exports have experienced a slower start to the year, with exports from India, China, and Pakistan all below expectations. India, the world’s largest onion exporter, has seen exports decline by 15% compared to the same period last year, due to unfavorable weather conditions and pest issues. China, another major onion exporter, has also reported a decline in exports, attributed to logistical issues and competition from other vegetable producers.

Pakistan, which is known for its high-quality onions, has seen exports remain steady, but at lower levels than in previous years. These trends are expected to continue, with Asian onion exports likely to remain sluggish in the coming months.
