Russia has resumed exporting coal to China through North Korea, according to multiple reports. By the end of April-May 2024, Russian exporters had shipped a total of 132,000 tons of coal to the North Korean port of Rajin, which then made its way into China.

[1][2][3][4] This marks a resumption of the Russia-North Korea-China coal trade route, which had been disrupted in recent years. The renewed coal exports highlight Russia's efforts to find new trade channels amid Western sanctions over the invasion of Ukraine.
