Between January and March 2024, Morocco exported nearly 35,000 tons of fresh and frozen produce to Germany, a 40% increase from the same period last year. This surge in exports marks a record high for Moroccan fruit and vegetable exports to Germany.

Greenhouse tomatoes remained the cornerstone of Morocco’s export revenue, with their financial yield nearing $1.2 billion in 2023, constituting almost three-quarters of Morocco’s total fresh vegetable export value. Sweet peppers and zucchini and pumpkins also contributed significantly to the export figures, with cucumbers exhibiting the most dynamic growth among export categories.
