The Nigerian government aims to reduce post-harvest losses in agriculture by 25% as part of its commitment to food security and enhanced domestic production.
During a recent dialogue in Abuja, Agriculture Minister Abubakar Kyari emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to lower current losses from 45% to 20%. The initiative is part of the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones program, which seeks to improve agricultural productivity and create jobs while addressing challenges in the sector.
